Wedding Videos Part 2

Official video is here! Well, the 5-minute trailer of our wedding day, which highlights quotes from speeches, big moments (The bouquet! The garter! The cake cutting!), all the wedding party, and lots of dancing. Especially the first dance--I am so happy to have so much of our choreographed first dance captured on film!

The full video will be coming later, but this is the part I've really been waiting three months for: a cinema-style film that captures the essence of the day and can be easily viewed and shared online. This is the reason I chose Lighten Films as my videographer. After seeing what they could do for my sister-in-law's wedding, I had to have them for mine.

So now, feel free to enjoy the end result of all the planning, all the friends and family coming together, and a perfect, beautiful highlight of our big wedding day:

Mani-Pedi Ready

The wedding is officially SEVEN days away. That means that in one week (give or take a few hours), I will be a "Mrs." Exciting! Scary! Both! But in order to keep the big day from being too scary, I just have to make sure I'm prepared. That means perfecting our first dance choreography ( see next post ) and taking care of any final items that need to be done before the wedding. That means finishing the favors, printing the programs, and nailing my wedding-day nails look. I wish I could take credit for my new French tips, but I don't know the first thing about nail polish. My fiance's mom treated me to a mani-pedi (the second one I've ever had in my life and my first one with gels!) at The Nail Shoppe LV in town. I'm ready for ring shots!

Coming Together

I've been excited. I've been scared. I've been a bride to be...but not for long! It's really, truly all coming together now (as it hopefully should with just one full day left to go!). There have been stressful moments, mostly brought about by overworrying--about the weather, about our first dance, and about trying to make sure everyone is happy. But in the end, we have tried our best and done all we can. No matter what happens, it will be beautiful because it will be ours. And now that we are so close to the big day, I'm starting to reach more mellow points where the wedding preparation is fun again too. Giving presents (and receiving presents!). Finishing up the final DIY decor. Seeing the groomsmen in their snazzy black and gold tuxes. Writing the final drafts of our speeches and remembering why we love each other. It's important to enjoy those moments. Because I won't be a bride to be forever. Tomorrow I become a bride! ...

My First Bridal Show

I've been to conferences, conventions, collectible shows, toy shows, and rock shows (that's rocks and minerals, not rock concerts). My dad has a lot of interests, and he often brought me along to conventions throughout my childhood until his hobbies became my hobbies (not the rock shows so much, but I'm still big into comic book conventions). Many of these events took place right at Cashmen Convention Center in Las Vegas, so I was familiar with the location of the Bridal Spectacular Bridal Show I'd seen advertised on Facebook and websites. I never thought I'd get a chance to go to a bridal show. And though I knew the general structure of a convention "show" (you walk past people's booths or tables as they convince you to buy things or show off the neat stuff they offer) I really didn't know what a "bridal show" was all about. As luck would have it, though most of the Vegas bridal shows are in January ( after my December wedding date...
